B. Special Exercise (One-off Pilot Scheme with Limited Quotas)

With the generous support of donors via the initiative "Would You Help a Young Student in 2021?", a one-off pilot scheme is launched in the academic year of 2021-22 to support students with sudden changes in financial situations. Students who do not meet the income and assets requirements for the Regular Exercise (refer to Part A) may apply for the FIFE Fund via this track. The application criteria for the Special Exercise are:

  1. Local full-time and full-degree undergraduate students who were admitted to the University in or after September 2008(1);

  4. Having a total value of savings and assets of HK$350,000 or less per family member(4).

The Special Exercise is only available in 2021-22. Quota is limited. The income and assets levels of applicants should not exceed the prescribed limits. Priority will be given to students with income and assets levels close to the upper limits for the Regular Exercise [i.e. Monthly household income is HK$19,194 (for 4-person family); Total savings and assets is HK$278,000 per person].
