What they have Learnt

I joined a six-day trip to East China for nursing students in June 2010 organised by The Association of Hong Kong Health Care Professionals. During the trip, I visited some cultural heritage sites and the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, had exchanges with students from Nanjing Medical University and visited the Shanghai Expo. They all gave me brand new learning opportunities, which were more than what I expected.

As an educational hospital, the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital is famous for the limb replacement. We visited the wards and met some patients who had just undergone the surgery. Moreover, we exchanged with the medical staff there. Their enthusiasm inspired me and made me feel no regret to be a nurse.

Another climax of the tour was the Shanghai Expo. We had a wonderful, fruitful and joyful day there. By visiting the pavilions of different countries, we knew more about their cultures, lifestyles and technology. These six days were extremely meaningful. I gained a lot from the trip. Apart from learning Chinese medical service, I know more about my country.
