I had the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of cases, some of which are rare diseases, due to the great number of patients the Hospital services. I was able to learn tremendously about symptoms and diagnostic skills. Witnessing the level of mistrust in doctor-patient relationships in Mainland China reinforced my belief that building trust is an area that should never be overlooked while we pursue our professional knowledge and accumulate clinical experiences.
